G-Lab: from coating parameters to a usable G-code program

A practical guide to machine profiles, spray-pattern generation, trajectory checks, G-code export, registered workspace tools, and the checks that belong before the first run.

Turn a coating task into defined machine parameters

G-Lab brings the main path-generation decisions into one browser workspace. Start with the correct machine profile, define the coated area and offsets, then choose a supported pattern such as Lines, Grid, or Dots.

Spacing, direction, turn geometry, feed rate, spray height, nozzle opening, air commands, repetitions, and timing describe how the program should move across the sample. Keeping these values together makes a test easier to repeat and adjust.

Preview the path before using the program

The trajectory preview shows the programmed movement inside the selected machine area and reports practical values such as path length, estimated duration, and feature count. The generated G-code remains visible next to the trajectory so the geometric result and the machine instructions can be reviewed together.

Copy or download the generated program when the profile, dimensions, offsets, and motion parameters match the intended setup. A saved program also provides a useful reference for later process comparisons.

Choose the workspace that matches the task

The public G-Lab provides pattern generation, trajectory preview, and G-code export without an account. It is useful for preparing a path, understanding the workflow, and evaluating whether the available pattern controls fit an application.

The signed-in workspace adds the tools used around an active CzRobotics machine workflow, including working-program editing, uploads, saved private programs, and authorized machine connection where the account and browser support it.

Checks before the first machine run

  • Confirm the selected machine profile, useful area, work origin, and coordinate convention.
  • Verify spray height, feed rates, nozzle-opening values, air commands, fixtures, and clearance around portal travel.
  • Inspect the complete trajectory and G-code, then supervise the first run with a safe test setup.
  • Close Candle, UGS, and other serial applications before connecting through the G-Lab workspace.
  • Use Chrome or Edge for Web Serial functions and keep machine operation attended.
